Virender Sehwag wishes speedy recovery to Rishabh Pant after India wicketkeeper is involved in car accident

Former opener Virender Sehwag is leading the prayers for the speedy recovery of Rishabh Pant after wicketkeeper-batter was involved in a car accident on Friday. Pant’s car collided with a divider on the highway.

By India Today Web Desk: Former India opener Virender Sehwag is leading the prayers for Rishabh Pant, after the wicketkeeper was involved in a car accident in the early hours of 30th December.

Pant’s car met with an accident while returning home from Delhi. His car met with the accident on the Narsan border of Roorkee near Hammadpur Jhal.

Eyewitnesses said that the wicketkeeper’s car collided with the railing and caught fire. With great difficulty, the fire was brought under control. Simultaneously, Pant, who was severely injured in the accident, was taken to Saksham Hospital on Delhi Road.

According to the doctors, Pant suffered injuries to his forehead and leg. The 25-year-old was set to report to the National Cricket Academy to work on his fitness ahead of the Border-Gavaskar trophy and was excluded from the squads for the ODI and T20I series against Sri Lanka.

Sehwag has now taken to Twitter and wished Pant a speedy recovery from the accident.

“Wishing dear @RishabhPant17 a super speedy recovery. Bahut hi Jald swasth ho jaao,” said Sehwag.

VVS Laxman also said he was praying for Pant and said thankfully the wicketkeeper is out of danger. Laxman aslo wished him a speedy recovery from the accident.

“Praying for Rishabh Pant. Thankfully he is out of danger. Wishing @RishabhPant17 a very speedy recovery. Get well soon Champ,” said Laxman on Twitter.

Fellow wicketkeeper and England’s Sam Billings also expressed his concern for Pant after the accident on Twitter.

“Hope Rishabh is ok!!!” tweeted Billings.

Cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle also expressed his concern for the young wicketkeeper and said he is desperately hoping that Pant is fine and recovers soon.

“Thinking about Rishabh Pant this morning and desperately hoping he is fine and recovers soon,” said Bhogle on Twitter.
